Despite his team’s 69-59 points victory over Oluyole Warriors, proprietor of Dodan Warriors Basketball team, Col. Sam Ahmedu, has urged his players to keep up the tempo and ensure qualification to the top eight of the Premier Basketball League (PBL).

Ahmedu, who praised the players for the hard-fought victory, called on them to suspend the celebration and work harder to emerge victorious in the remaining matches.
“Agreed, we played well and won against the Oluyole Warriors, but it is not yet celebration time. We need to work harder and ensure that we win more matches to ensure qualification for the play-offs.
“We will continue to encourage the players and the officials to achieve success at the end of the season, and that is why all hands must be on deck,” he said.
Dodan Warriors won the ‘Battle of the Warriors’ at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, last weekend. The team was at its best, fending off the offensive of the visitors and making the most of their chances to record a famous victory, their sixth at the Atlantic Conference and still third on the table behind leaders, Lagos Islanders and second place, Oluyole Warriors.
Islanders lead the conference with seven wins after beating Royal Hoopers by 65-60 points in Port Harcourt while Oluyole Warriors is second with six wins. Same with Dodan Warriors, but with superior goals difference.
In other matches at the Conference, Union Bank defeated Police Baton 79-69 points to improve its standing on the log.
At the Savannah Conference, Mark Mentors defeated Plateau Peaks 72-56 points in Abuja, while in Minna, Niger Potters narrowly defeated Kada Stars 51-50 points in a keenly-fought encounter.
Bauchi Nets lost to Kano Pillars 56-86 points, while Gombe Bulls beat Immigration 55-51 points also in the Savannah Conference.
