Ozokwor said she succumbed to their ‘selfish’ pleas because she wanted to save them from being ridiculed by friends and make them happy

Veteran Nollywood thespian, Patience Ozokwor has revealed why she opted to remain single despite the death of her husband a long time ago.
She made the disclosure during her appearance as a guest on Mercy Johnson-Okojie’s cook show, “Mercy’s Menu”, where she revealed she considered remarrying before her children begged her not to.
Ozokwor, who is called Mama G by her fans, said at the time, her kids were already grown, so she wanted to marry again.
But she decided against the decision after they asked her not to do so and promised to fill the vacuum of her late hubby.

She said: “I wanted to remarry but my kids had already come of age and they pleaded with me not to marry another man and they promised they would be my husband.”
She went on to say she succumbed to their ‘selfish’ pleas because she wanted to save them from being ridiculed by friends and make them happy.
“They asked me to stay single for them so their friends will not laugh at them that at their age their mum remarried and I understood them.
“Though it was selfish of them, but I paid the huge sacrifice for them, no sacrifice is too huge for family,” Ozokwor added.
