Some pastors have prophesied that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 poll, Peter Obi, would be arrested.

Obi is lawfully challenging the victory of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.

Earlier this month, the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC)dismissed his petitions against Tinubu’s victory as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to the court, Obi and the Labour Party did not prove that Tinubu was not the rightful winner of the poll.

While attention has now been shifted to the Supreme Court, some clerics have prophesied that Obi, a former Anambra State governor, would be arrested.

In September alone, at least two prophets have claimed they saw revelations of Obi’s arrest, reports Legit.ng.

Obi bemoans dearth of development in Bayelsa

In a video on his YouTube page, Lagos-based cleric, Prophet David Elijah, called on Obi’s supporters popularly referred to as Obidients, to pray for him not to be kept in a house arrest.

He said: “You must pray for your brother, your candidate, Peter Obi. Pray for him. Because I don’t know what this house arrest is all about. What is the offence? What is the matter all about? I don’t know.”

Spiritual leader of the Christ House of Prayer and Deliverance Ministry in Lagos, Pastor Elijah Bamidele, said he saw in his revelation that Obi was arrested and handcuffed.

“I saw handcuffs in the hands of Peter Obi. This is my counsel for Peter Obi. Be careful. Because I saw, should I call it a gang-up. I saw him in DSS custody. So that his case will not be worse than Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s, I saw it very clear (sic),”he said.
