President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said that pastors opposing the reopening of churches are Satan’s agents.
Oyedepo, in a mid-week service on Wednesday, said: “Those pastors opposing me for saying that churches should be open, if you see them, ask them, do you want churches to remain closed? If they want the churches to remain closed, then they are agents of the devil.
“They complain that I am praying for church growth, ask them, do you want the church to go down? And they will be looking at you like moron. Are they praying, oh Lord let the church go down?
“Also, for those complaining that I am preaching prosperity, do they want poverty? If you wish them long life and poverty, will they receive it? So, why then are they complaining?” he queried.
He said the lockdown has not affected his ministry or his work for God, especially for soul winning.
“In the midst of this lockdown, my cell has birthed 82 new home cells but ( opponents of church reopening) are big men of God who only sleep and wake up doing nothing to reach out to their people.
“I am not saying that if the churches do not open it will affect me. It will not. Millions of people connect to our service from different parts of the world, but because of those pastors, small churches who cannot reach out to their members.
“The old men and women, those in the village that don’t have access to internet or means of worship. What they know is to go to church and pray. Now that the church is shutdown, they are being denied and before you know it, they are derailed, and misled into following other gods. ” he stated.
Oyedepo also disclosed that he has distributed N100 million welfare packages to his members.
