PAN Nigeria unveils new Peugeot 508, 2016 edition

PAN Nigeria Tuesday unveiled new and enhanced Peugeot 508 2016 edition which runs on Euro 5 engine known for its extremely pure efficiency and high standard of emission control.

The new Peugeot 508 which was assembled locally at the Kaduna assembly plant as successor to the Peugeot 508 2013 model is built with 100 per cent quality comparable to Peugeot factory in France and in accordance with global quality standard of the Peugeot brand.

At the unveiling in Abuja, Mr Ibrahim Boyi, Managing Director, PAN Nigeria said that the improved version is fully automated and has the highest standard in efficiency, emission and environmental compliance.

Elaborating on some of the new features, Boyi said that the new edition has met stringent environmental emission regulation standards.

“In terms of functionality, outlook and the design, the new 508 is a lot better; the front has been redesigned to give it more elegance and better customer experience. It comes with a touch screen control PANel to limit distraction for the driver and permanent features on safety which is a standard for every Peugeot car, was also maintained,” he said.

He also disclosed that in terms of affordability, the new Peugeot 508 has a marginal 3 per cent difference with the former version. It has lots of new value and functionality than the older version and competes favourably with other brands.

He highlighted that the new model comes with longer mileage and fuel efficiency running on 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres.

Presenting the new model, Head, Marketing and Customer Relations, Peugeot Nigeria, Mrs Shepuya Icah said that the Peugeot 508 which has a more colourful and user friendly touch screen also comes 10 per cent cheaper compared to its competitors.

Similarly, the Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Council, Engr. Aminu Jalal praised the new edition saying “the interior is attractive and there are improvements in the engine management system.”
