Founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has chided the federal government over the hate speech bill that is being considered for passage by the Nigerian Senate.

“Is this country going forward or backwards?” Oyedepo asked during the opening session of the Shiloh 2019 tagged: “Breaking Limits.”

He said what President Muhammadu Buhari wants to accomplish is to silence all Nigerians against speaking the truth and speaking up as well.

He told the congregation that those in government can’t silence everybody because he is a prophet and “prophets are answerable to God and not man.”

“So if you are wrong,  we can’t say you are  wrong. So if the roads are bad, you won’t say the roads are bad?”

He also accused Buhari’s government of having the most bad roads so far.

“Of course, all the roads are bad. It has not been like this from the past administration,” he said.

He urged Christians to join hands together to stop this “whole mess because it would take Nigeria backward.”

Also,  he stated earlier that  the church has great impact in the nation. “If you remove the impact of church in this nation, there is nothing to it.”
