Over 2000 may not vote in Ikorodu due to distance polling unit

-

Over 2000 residents of communities in and around Oju Oro area of Agric Ikorodu West LGA didn’t vote even though many of them have PVC.

This is due to the fact that the nearest polling booths are in Ajaguro and Ori Okuta areas, some 30 minutes walk from Oju Oro.

Even though residents had asked for poling booths, there hasnot been any response.

According to a resident, Raliat Moshood, there has never been any political presence in the communities comprising Abundant, Woodland, Butterfly estates, Oshin, Ifesowapo, Wisdom communities and Abule Afa.

Thus, many of them are not so keen about going the extra mile to vote.
