Galatasaray forward, Victor Osimhen, will not play a part in his side’s Super Lig match against Gaziantep FK on Tuesday evening.
This was disclosed by the Turkish club on Monday via a statement shared on their website.
The league encounter was originally billed to take place on the third match-day, but it was postponed, and since Osimhen and two of his teammates were not registered at that point, they are ineligible to take part in the game.

Confirming the development, Okan Buruk’s side said the 25-year-old Nigerian international alongside Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai will miss the game at RAMS Park.
“Victor Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai, who were transferred after the postponement date, will not be in the squad due to the status,” the statement partly read.
Osimhen will, however, face his first major test in the Süper Lig next weekend when Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe host Galatasaray at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
The Super Eagles striker made his debut for Galatasaray against Çaykur Rizespor last weekend.
