Ooni congratulates Tinubu, hails his leadership qualities

Ooni noted that Tinubu’s victory at the Supreme Court shows that Nigerians believe in his ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda

The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership qualities and “investment in human development and nation-building”.

The revered Yoruba monarch also assured the president of his commitment to praying and offering supplications to the ancestors to ensure his tenure is fruitful and beneficial.

Ooni’s comments came while reacting to the recent Supreme Court verdict which affirmed President Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.

Speaking via a congratulatory letter made available to pressmen by his spokesperson, Moses Olafare, on Sunday, Ooni noted that the judgment was greeted by nationwide jubilation.

He further added that Tinubu’s victory at the apex court also indicates that Nigerians believe in his ‘Renewed Hope’ initiative.

Ooni said: “Dear Asiwaju, this development, which secures the people’s mandate and the nationwide jubilation that greeted it, attests to Nigerians’ love for your personality, belief in the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda of your administration, and aspiration for a prosperous country, which was communicated via the February 25, 2023 presidential poll.

“For us at the House of Oduduwa, we take pride in your excellent profile of public service, particularly your decades of investment in human development and nation-building, which you exhibited as an ordinary Nigerian, senator of the Federal Republic, Lagos State Governor, and in other leadership capacities that have set you apart as primus interpares.”
