The cold war between Isinigbo and Ode communities in Ondo state took a new dimension last night as two persons were feared killed and houses set ablaze.
The two communities – Isinigbo and Ode are in Akure North local government area of Ondo state.
TheNiche learnt that the crisis between the two communities was on land dispute which has been going on since the inception of the communities.
It was gathered that the attack was allegedly carried out last night by suspected gunmen hired by one of the neighbouring communities.
A resident of Isinigbo who witnessed the attack, said palace of the Asinigbo and some houses had been burnt down by the hoodlums.
It was gathered that the government had deployed security agents to the area to maintain peace.
