Ahead of next week Governorship election in Ondo State, youths across Akoko North West and Akoko North Federal Constituency have been mobilized for the re-election of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu second term in office.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Senior Special Assistant Youth and Students Mobilisation, Evangelist Olumuyiwa Asagunla while speaking at the gathering at Okeagbe yesterday charged the youths to ensure that Akeredolu is re-elected on October 10 governorship polls.
According to him, with the cooperation of the youth across the state, APC Governorship Candidate is aiming at 99 per cent victory in the governorship election.
Asagunla was flagged by Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade (Rtd) and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Hon.Gani Muhammad Ajowa, Rear Admiral S.l Alade (rtd), Hon. Asagunla Muyiwa and the other parliamentarians of the Ondo State Youth Parliament from various constituency.
They however urged the youths to eschew violence as they go about the campaign saying they must all be resolute in the quest to ensure victory for Governor Akeredolu.
Their words: “We seek victory but we must go about it in a peaceful manner; we must try to avoid any act of violence, but be resolute in a bid to ensure that Governor Akeredolu is re-elected on October 10 Gubernatoeial election in the state.
The participants enumerated joblessness, absence of skill acquisition center, and increment in tuition fees of the Adekunle Ajasin University as part of problems being confronted in their area.
The Youths were assured of their messages would be channeled to appropriate quarters through the Parliament.
