Nigeria defender and Leganés captain, Kenneth Omeruo has said the Super Eagles are going all out to secure the three points at stake against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
The Super Eagles after surrendering top position in Group A of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier to the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, who edged past Sao Tome and Principe on Wednesday night are up against John Keister’s side at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia, on Sunday.
They will leapfrog Guinea-Bissau and return to the top, as well as earn a spot in the 2023 AFCON finals with a win or draw against the Leone Stars.

However, Omeruo, speaking ahead of the encounter said he and his teammates are fully ready for the game.
He also noted that they are aware that a draw will qualify them for AFCON but added that they would want to win going into the final game of the qualifier.
“We are approaching the game with all seriousness, we know how important it is for us to qualify and better to do it with a game to spare so that we can relax and plan for the future.
“Everyone knows what we have to do. We are here to train and to make sure we go there to win.” Omeruo said.
