Oluwo welcomes first child with new wife

Oluwo got married to the Kano-born princess, Firdaus, in March 2022, after ending his marriage with Jamaican, Chanel Chin

Popular Yoruba monarch, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo land, and his new wife have welcomed their first child together. 

Oba Akanbi, after ending his marriage with Jamaican, Chanel Chin, got married to the Kano-born princess, Firdaus, in March 2022.

The Queen has since then kept a low profile, as she was hardly seen in public except on a few occasions when he received guests in the palace with her husband.

Oluwo, while sharing the good news with his fans and followers on his Instagram page expressed gratitude to God. 

The King also posted a stunning photo of the new mother and wrote: “Olodumare Oseun!! I thank God Almighty for a blessing beautiful child through my beautiful Queen…hip hip hip hurray. I’m blessed.”

After Oluwo’s post made the rounds on social media, netizens trooped to the comment section to congratulate the king and his queen.

A netizen, rosy throne said: “Congratulations to her. Celebration will be for us all, that thing we want God to do, will surely come to pass .”

Another internet user, lukamwanret wrote: “Congratulations.” 

blackdepressionforum added: “I believe this is his 10th child in total. I pray for good health for mother and child.”

chef_ivyjones1 said: “Congratulations! More blessings.” 

While adornedbycheedah wrote: kids wey u no dey take care of .about 5 wives don divorce you but u no dey take care of the kids they had for you.”  

A curious IG user identified as bukkyojomu, however, wondered if the child would not be discriminated against in the future because the mother is of the Hausa/Fulani tribe. 

She wrote: “If this pikin wan become oba in future hope yoruba people won’t say is hausa.”
