Okpebholo hails INEC after casting vote at Esan central ward

Okpebholo described the exercise as well coordinated and commended the electoral umpire for its efficiency

The All Progressives Party (APC )  candidate candidate in the ongoing gubernatorial election in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo has given the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC thumps up after casting his vote.

He praised the electoral body after exercising his civic right at polling unit 1, Ward 2 in Udomi Primary School, Udomi, Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of the state.

Okpebholo described the exercise as well coordinated, commending the electoral umpire for its efficiency especially as observed in his ward.

Security operatives were on the ground to ensure a violence-free exercise at the centre.

Electoral officers and materials were also said to have arrived in good time for voting to commence.

TheNiche had earlier reported that the top contenders in the Saturday’s gubernatorial election are People Democratic Party’s, Asue Ighodalo, APC’s Okpebholo and Labour Party’s Olamide Akpata.

(INEC prior to the commencement of the guber election disclosed that over 2.2 million permanent voter cards were collected in the state.
