Okpebholo announces first appointment ahead inauguration

Edo State Governor-elect Senator Monday Okpebholo has appointed Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary for the incoming administration.
Okpebholo’s media team announced this on Monday.
This marks the governor-elect’s first official appointment before his inauguration and the transfer of power from outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki, set for Tuesday.
Itua, who has held positions with Leadership and The Sun newspapers, will lead the governor’s media team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Ambrose Alli University, a master’s degree in media arts from the University of Abuja, and is nearing completion of his PhD in development communication at Veritas University.
With a background in covering the National Assembly, migration, health, anti-corruption and environmental issues, Itua brings valuable experience and insight into national and global affairs.
