.Await Supreme Court verdict, to set aside N20m

The Imo State former governor and now Senator representing Imo West, Chief Rochas Okorocha, and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume have struck a new accord to advance their political interests in the state.
The new group, which is yet to be christianed, is also designed to plot against the incumbent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government in the state under Emeka Ihedioha.
At the group’s maiden meeting on Thursday at Urashi Resort, the Ogboko, Ideato South country home of the former governor, attendance was made up of 10 persons drawn from the Okorocha faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC); 10 persons from the Araraume faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and another 10 drawn from Uche Nwosu’s Action Alliance (AA) Party.
It was gathered that Okorocha made the lead speech at the meeting, while Araraume largely concurred.
Consequently, Okorocha was said to have announced the formation of a coalition which he said was going to be the rallying platform in anticipation of the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment and subsequent political engagements for 2023.
The former governor however explained that his son in-law, Uche Nwosu, had always been APC at heart.
His words: “Uche Nwosu was merely wearing Chelsea jersey inside with Manchester United jersey on top.”
He alleged that Nwosu won the Imo State governorship election, while expressing hope that the Supreme Court would give his group justice. Besides, different committees were set up while Okorocha announced that about N20 million would be set aside for mobilization and meetings at community levels by the various committees.
