Okeagbe paramount ruler urges youths to embrace skill acquisition

The paramount ruler of Okeagbe Akoko in Ondo State, Oba Mofolorunso Samuel Adegboyega Arasanyin, has urged youths in Okeagbe to leverage the opportunities in the community skill acquisition to reduce unemployment and poverty level in the town.
Oba Arasanyin who made the plea at the AJO Ilu (meeting) of the people of Afa Okeagbe community maintained that obtaining “Degree Certificate No More A Meal Ticket”
According to him, acquiring skills would enable youths to supplement their income and improve on their living condition.
“I am appealing to you all to encourage our youths to embrace skill training put in place in this community with a commitment of becoming an employer of labour rather than depending on other organisations to be employed.
“We are puting together different skill acquisition programmes for the youths because I could not withstand the pain of seeing them roam the street.
“Yes education is good, it is meant to help the skilled individual by embracing the advent of innovation and technology as an added advantage that would further strengthen small businesses and increase their productivity.
“I reaffirmed my unwavering commitment to the development and progress of our community, vowing to harness my experience and wisdom to elevate Afa Okeagbe to unprecedented heights.
“With the divine guidance of the Almighty God and the unrelenting support of the Afa Okeagbe people, I pledge to propel our beloved community to greater levels of growth, prosperity, and harmony,” he declared.
“I believe that with determination, hard work, and the blessings of the Almighty, we will overcome challenges and achieve greatness. My vision is to create a vibrant and thriving community, where everyone has the opportunity to succeed”, Oba Arasanyin added
