Okeagbe marks king’s 30th coronation with free medical checks

Okeagbe is an Akoko community where the King has been on the throne of his forebears in the last 30 years.

Hundreds residents of Afa Okeagbe Akoko in Ondo state are to enjoy free medical services in commemoration of the 30th coronation anniversary of Oba Oladunjoye Fajana, the Ajana Afa of Okeagbe.

Speaking with Journalists in Akure, the state capital, the Chairman, Planning Committee, Olori Omo Oba Olusoga Sofolahan and his Deputy Chairman, Prince Foluso Arasanyin said the programme was put together as a drive to ensure the collective development of Okeagbe Akoko land.

The programme tagged, ‘Free Medical Outreach’ will take place at Sir Rufus Foluso Giwa Memorial Hall, St. Georges Anglican Church, Okeagbe Akoko on Wednesday 24th November, 2021

They gave thanks to God for the preservation of Oba Oladunjoye Fajana life and residents of Afa Okeagbe and thanked all and sundry for their support since his ascension of his forefather’s throne 30 years ago.

They emphasized the need for continuous medical checkup while charging people of he community to take good care of themselves, especially health wise.

“We want to congratulate Kabiyesi, Oba Oladunjoye Fajana on his anniversary. Many great things have been happening during his reign,” they said.

There will also be a Lecture titled: “The role of Traditional Rulers towards building a viable society” to be held at Okeagbe same day.

Other events lined up include, Display of Traditional ancestral Crown, Beads and Staff of Office and Football match, Jumaat service, and Youth Night out.

All Afa cultulral and traditional events, from Wednesday to Friday will take place within the Palace but the Grand Finale of the anniversary will come up on November 27, 2021 at St. George’s Primary School field, Okeagbe Akoko while the evening will be rounded off with Thanksgiving service
