Nigerian rapper and singer, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has revealed the reason behind his signature red cap, stating that the Nigerian ‘music industry is a battleground’.
He made this known recently as a guest on the latest edition of the ‘Comfortably Speaking’ podcast.
According to the ‘Declan Rice’ crooner, the red cap, a key part of his trademark style, holds a deep cultural meaning in Igbo tradition.
He explained that he wears the cap to combat the constant ‘war’ within the Nigerian music industry.
While describing the industry as a “battleground,” Odumodublvck said, “This is a war cap. Whenever my tribe wants to go to war against another clan, all the warriors will wear this.
“So if I enter the music industry, which is a battleground, put two and two together.”
