Ododo to unveil Igalamela/Odolu APC secretariat, welcome Jibrin Isah Egbolo, others into party

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi State has concluded arrangements for the official opening of its newly constructed party secretariat.
The landmark event, which doubles as a reception for the LGA’s newly elected party executives and a formal welcome for returning members, is scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2026.
A grassroots mobiliser and former chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ajaka Ward 1, Igalamela/Odolu LGA, Jibrin Isah Egbolo, will be among those welcomed into the APC at the ceremony.
Egbolo, who served as director of digital and social media for the SDP in Kogi State during the 2023 governorship election, recently formalized his return to the APC in a ceremony in Ajaka Ward 1 attended by key APC figures from the area.
An original member of the APC, Egbolo had left the party ahead of the 2023 governorship poll to support SDP candidate Murtala Yakubu Ajaka—citing family ties as his reason. He attributed his return to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s inclusive leadership style, which he said aligns with his personal values.
Governor Ododo is expected to formally receive the returning members into the party. The special guest of honour will be Elder Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, Deputy Governor of Kogi State.
