Odigbo APC backs Akinfolarin as consensus candidate

In a decisive move aimed at consolidating their political stance, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odigbo local government have rallied behind Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin, a former member of the House of Representatives, as their consensus candidate ahead of the forthcoming party primary slated for April 25.

The endorsement of Akinfolarin by the APC leaders underscores their confidence in his ability to steer the state towards progress, citing his track record of empowerment initiatives within the community. Akinfolarin’s commitment to grassroots development and his perceived electability were highlighted as pivotal factors in his selection.

During a visit by Akinfolarin to the locality to solicit support ahead of the primary, Chieftain Adeniyan Akinsetan affirmed the unanimous decision to adopt Akinfolarin as the sole aspirant for Odigbo LG, praising his leadership acumen and tangible contributions to the welfare of constituents.

“In Hon Akinfolarin, we see a pragmatic leader who has demonstrated remarkable dedication to uplifting our community. His numerous empowerment programs have impacted many lives positively, making him a worthy candidate for the governorship position,” Akinsetan remarked.

Echoing similar sentiments, Oluwatoyin Jayeola, representing women within the APC, pledged unwavering support for Akinfolarin’s candidacy, expressing confidence in his ability to secure the party’s nomination and emerge victorious in the gubernatorial race.

Chairman of APC in Odigbo, Fatai Olawale, emphasized the divine providence guiding Akinfolarin’s journey to victory, urging party faithful to remain steadfast in their support. He commended the collaborative efforts of party leaders and expressed optimism about the forthcoming elections.

In response, Akinfolarin expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received during his familiarization tour across council areas. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering tangible progress and ensuring a brighter future for the people of Ondo State, stressing his determination to emerge victorious in both the primary and general elections.

“My nomination and subsequent election represent a mandate for progress and development in Ondo State. Together, we will work tirelessly to transform our state and fulfill the aspirations of our people,” Akinfolarin asserted, highlighting his vision for a prosperous Sunshine State.
