Obu Ohafia mourns, as Prof Imaga is buried Saturday

The remains of Ezie Ohamoha and the Udemeze of Ohafia in Abia State, His Royal Paramountcy, Prof Emmanuel Ume Lekwa Imaga will be committed to mother earth on Saturday, the 6th of July, 2024 at Elu Ohafia.

The Udumeze Ohafia joined his ancestors on the 17th of January, 2024.

This foremost traditional ruler in Abia State reigned for over 14 years giving the 26 villages in Ohafia a sense of unity, purpose and an all inclusive peace among the clans.

Prof Imaga was a distinguished scholar, educationist, macro-economist and agriculturist.

The Ezie Ohamoha Ohafia tirelessly worked to maintain peace and cultural harmony among the 26 clans making up Ohafia and among its neighbors.

Reacting to this development, the President-General of the Ohafia socio-economic association, OBU Ohafia, Chief Nnanna Ajike described the late Ezie Ohamoha Ohafia, His Royal Paramountcy, Prof EUL Imaga as a rare breed whose legacies would be remembered for a long time by Ohafia sons and daughters all over the world.

He said OBU Ohafia in reverence to Ezie Ohamoha’s achievements especially his love for the peace and unity of Ohafialand will roll out the drums to celebrate this great father, monarch and builder of modern Ohafia.

Chief Nnanna Ajike noted that all clans have m Ohafia have experienced and continues to experience massive infrastructural developments since the reign of Prof Imaga over fourteen years ago.

He has enjoined all clans in Ohafia, sons and daughters of Ohafia, friends of Ohafia and lovers of peace to troop down to Elu Ohafia on the 6th of July to honour and pay their last respects to this great first class traditional ruler, and academician as he’s being committed to join his ancestors.

The President-General of OBU Ohafia prayed that the Almighty grants the Ezie Ohamoha of Ohafia, His Royal Paramountcy, Prof EUL Imaga eternal rest.
