Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Thursday visited Minna, the Niger State capital, to discuss pressing national issues with two prominent Nigerian leaders.
He made this known via separate posts on his X page, saying he visited former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and erstwhile Niger State governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu at their residences.
According to the former Anambra State governor, he and his hosts discussed matters concerning nation’s building and unity.
Describing Babangida as a “father figure, elder statesman, and leader,” the LP chieftain said the meeting also gave him an opportunity to wish the former military leader a happy New Year.
“General Babangida’s wisdom and perspectives remain very important. I always deeply appreciate the chance to visit him and listen to his invaluable advice and words of wisdom,” Obi said.
