Obi salutes the ‘excellent’ way Hilda Baci achieved cooking world record

Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has congratulated Hilda Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, on her certification by Guinness World Records (GWR) as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Obi said Hilda “reminded us that the path through which one attains victory in any endeavour must be excellent,” extrapolating from his current argument in court that the election that produced President Bola Tinubu did not follow an “excellent” process and should be overturned.
GWR certified Hilda on Tuesday, a month after she attained the feat on May 15 in Lagos.
She attempted to set a record of 100 hours, but GWR deducted almost seven hours from her final count because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the marathon.
“This is the best news ever omg omg omg thank you so much,” Hilda wrote in retweeting the certification statement from GWR.
Obi took it up from there in his own tweet, stressing Hilda has carved her “name in the golden books of history and has brought great honour to our nation.”

“You believed in your vision, you persevered till the end, and you have now carved your name in the golden books of history and have brought great honour to our nation.
“You have, by your victory, reminded us that the path through which one attains victory in any endeavour must be excellent. By towing the path of hard work and determination, you broke a world record.”
Obi reiterated said millions of people worldwide are now inspired by Hilda.
