Oba Oladele Kosoko hits the ground

The Ogundeyi 11, Olofin of Iworo-Awori kingdom, Oba Oladele Idris Kosoko, has already hit the ground running on transformation measures going by the information The Niche gathered from palace sources.
Oba Kosoko the former Chairman, Science and Technology in the Federal House of Representatives, who represented Badagry federal constituency, Lagos state was recently given the staff of authority by the Lagos state government on 23rd of April through the Commissioner for local government and Community affairs, Hon Muslim Folami.
According to the source the first thing he did was to hold crucial palace meeting with the council of chiefs and council of Elders Assembly where 3 committees was put in place, namely: security, environment and land matters.
“Since his coronation he has been having series of meetings but the first crucial one, the inaugural meeting was with the council of elders’ assembly, they are, I think 48 in number including 7 white cap chiefs and it was quite successful.
“It was after their deliberation that 3 committees were created: Security, environment and land matters” the source disclosed.
The Niche investigation at Badagry, particularly the Olorunda council area shows that at the moment vehicles, including broken ones are moved out from unauthorized places to make the environment decent.
Also traders that normally display their wares on walk ways thereby blocking movement have been discouraged from doing so and they are complying.
The Oba has also moved the night market at one extreme side of Olorunda LCDA to a more central place for easier access.
Oba Kosoko is said to be getting all the support from his people because he is loved by his people given his past record of impacting positively on them by empowering many.
