Liverpool forward, Darwin Nunez has opened up that his compatriot and former Reds striker, Luis Suarez warned him about how rigorous the Premier League (PL) is.
According to Nunez, the former Barcelona star contacted him and offered words of advice following his difficult start to life at Anfield.
The Uruguayan was signed from Portuguese club, Benfica, in the summer after a scintillating performance but has endured a tough first few weeks at Anfield.
Nunez’s first home game for the Reds ended in disaster as he was shown a red-card by the centre referee after he was judged to have headbutted Crystal Palace, Joachim Andersen.

He was subsequently suspended for the next three PL games to the astonishment and dismay of a lot of Liverpool faithful.
Suarez who while at Anfield suffered a lot of controversies during his time in the Premier League, has now offered a word of advice to the striker, urging him to let the antics of the English game get to him.
Nunez told ESPN: “Luis told me that these things in the Premier are going to happen in all the games, that they are going to come looking for me, that they are going to hit me, and that I must become strong and I must not repeat the shit he sent me.
“‘Listen to an asshole like me’ he told me. I am very grateful for that message and the love it has for me.”
