The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has ordered a speedy and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack on the men of Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) by officers of the Corps.
The incident occurred at kugbo slope area of Abuja on Tuesday.
Gana disclosed this through a statement by his Media Assistant, Ekunola Gbenga.
The NSCDC boss has temporarily suspended the officers involved, seized their vehicle, and detained the driver, while the investigation was on-going on the matter.
He also assured that he would ensure that justice prevailed in the case. The Commandant General however apologized to management and men of VIO and assured them of the Corps maximum cooperation and support in discharging their constitutional duties.
