nPDP visits APC, meets NWC members

-

Members of the New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have stormed the National Headquarters of APC to meet with the national leadership of the party.

The members led by the former Acting National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje are being met with by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Lawal Shiuabu.

Other members of the APC National Working Committee in the meeting were: National Secretary, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, National Organizing Secretary, Sen. Osita Izunaso, National Youth Leader, Hon. Ibrahim Jalo Dasuki and National Treasurer, Alhaji Mohammed Bala Gwagwarawa.

The nPDP had last week visited the party secretariat demanding a meeting with the leadership of the party and the Presidency within 7 days.

In their petition titled: Request for redressing of grievances of the former new Peoples Democratic Party bloc within the All Progressives Congress (APC), they said, “Given the constraining factor of available time and in the interest of our great party, it is strongly advised that the said urgent meeting be held not later than 7 days from the date of the receipt of this letter. ”

But few days latter, another group of nPDP led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu dissociated themselves from Baraje’s group stating that they were not consulted and the allegations in the Baraje’s petition were not true.
