The Maggies host fellow relegation-threatened Norwich City, in a mid-week game at St James’ Park.
Newcastle began the game on a bad note, when Clara Clark was given the marching order in the 9th minute after bringing down Teemu Pukki who was through on goal.
The match, however, didn’t produce a goal in the first half, as both sides were unable to reach each other’s defense.

The second half started in the same fashion, Norwich City had more of the ball possession but the home side looked dangerous on counter-attacks.
The visitors eventually gave away a penalty in the 59th minute when Billy Gilmour handled the ball inside his penalty box.
Wilson stepped up in the 61st minute to score the resultant penalty to give Newcastle a 1-0 lead.
Norwich City thereafter searched for an equalizer and scored in the 79th minute, when Teemu Pukki brilliantly finished an assist from Dimitrios Giannoulis to level the score at 1-1.
Neither of the teams could add to their tally before the center referee brought proceedings to an end.
