Ogogo gave a blow-by-blow account of what transpired and insisted he is capable of handling the touts, saying his meekness shouldn’t be taken as a weakness

Veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, took to social media to tell his side of the story after a public brawl with some touts in Ilaro, Ogun State.
The thespian said he had gone to Ilaro, his hometown to inspect a project when some unknown faces walked up to him and demanded money.
Thinking it was the usual friendly gesture he gets from his fans whenever he comes in contact with them, he obliged, giving them all he had in his wallet.
However, one of the thugs, who was not satisfied with the amount given to them by the ace actor, held on to his dress insisting they wanted more money from him.

Ogogo then pleaded with the tout who held tightly to his ‘agbada’, but he refused to let him go saying he wouldn’t leave him alone until he met their demand.
The actor, thereafter, lost his cool, and the heated exchanges between him and the touts degenerated into a scuffle in which blows were exchanged.
In a now-viral video the actor uploaded on his Instagram, the touts were seen fighting with the actor and his partner, and his car was damaged in the process.
Reacting to the development, Ogogo tried to clarify the issue that happened on the day in a bid to correct whatever erroneous impressions that might have been created.
After giving a blow-by-blow account of what transpired, he insisted he is capable of handling the touts, by saying ‘once a boxer always a boxer‘
He wrote, “Before bloggers pick this up, let me tell my side of the story and truth. Was in Ilaro my hometown, for an inspection of a project, after which some unknown guys walked up to me for the normal appraisals.
“We watch your movie, give up money, we watched you all through our childhood.
“All these as an actor we hear everyday, I offer all I had on me and one of them dragged me by my agbada and demanded for an amount I can’t pay. I asked him to leave me, he said “Do your worse” the rest is story.
“Please stop harassing actors or entertainers, do you pay anyone for doing your job, No, it’s our job too. Accept all we offer when we do. Remember, once a boxer always a boxer”.
Taking to his comment section, colleagues such as Afeez Owo, Ijebu, Bimpe Akintunde, Ibrahim Chatta and others sympathised and expressed concern for actors.
