The All Nigeria Secondary Schools Football Championship tagged “NNPC/Shell Cup” has entered the semifinals stage.
According to the fixtures released by the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF) immediately after the draws ceremony which held at the secretariat of the Lagos State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Government Day Secondary School, Kofar Yandaka, Katsina State will tackle Rochas Okorocha Foundation College, Owerri in the first semifinal at 2:00pm while the second semifinal comes up at 4:00pm between Rezheight High School, Benin Edo State and Government Secondary School, Gwale, Kano, Kano State.
The semifinals will be played on Friday, May 22 at the Mainbowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
To book a semifinals ticket, Government Secondary School, Katsina defeated Government secondary school, Keffi during the quarterfinals in Ibadan by 5:3 via penalties after a goalless draw at full time.
Rochas Okorocha Foundation College, Ogboko had defated National Grammar School, Nike, Enugu State 4:0 while Reizheight High School, Benin defeated Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State by 1:0 in one of the quarterfinal matches.
The last semifinalist is Government Secondary School, Gwale, Kano State that qualified by defeating Government Science Technical College, Yola, Adamawa State 1:0 in the quarterfinal.
Meanwhile, the third place and final match will hold on Sunday, May 24, inside the Mainbowl of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos from 3:00 pm.
