Kanu told the judge he would represent himself for now, but noted the situation might change later.

Kanu Agabi, the lead counsel in the trial of the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has applied to withdraw from the case, stating that the defendant had taken the case back from them.
Apart from Agabi, all the Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) on the defense team have also withdrawn from the suit.
While confirming the development, Kanu told the court that he would be representing himself for now, adding that the situation might change later.
When the judge asked if he should be assigned a lawyer, he declined the offer.
Defending himself orally, Kanu argued that the court lacked the jurisdiction to try him.
The IPOB leader is scheduled to begin his defence against the terrorism charges after his earlier no-case submission was dismissed.
