The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has applauded workers for ensuring success on the first day of the nationwide warning strike held on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by NLC president, Joe Ajaero, the congress said workers demonstrated that their words and decisions would always be backed by action.
The statement said, “This is to applaud all Nigerian workers through the actions of all our affiliates and state councils for the massive support and efforts at ensuring that the first day of the nationwide warning strike took off with a resounding success across the nation.”

Banks and business places were shut in some parts of the country on Tuesday. In Lagos, however, the warning strike did not witness success.
