A factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Edozie Njoku, has reminded Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo that he is not bigger than the party on whose platform he rose to power.
He made this known recently while featuring on Channels Television’s programme ‘Politics Today’.
According to the APGA Chairman, Soludo is not greater than the ruling party in Anambra State and should stoop to conquer.
Njoku added that the former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) cannot impose himself on the party.
Speaking on the leadership crisis rocking the party, he said, “I have stooped a lot, I have gone to him (Gov Soludo), I have had meetings with him. The important thing is doing the right thing at all times and not thinking you can impose yourself on the party.
“We are the party and the party is supreme.”
Njoku, however, debunked rumours that he is planning to scuttle the second term ambition of the governor in 2025.
He also admitted that the feud between him and Soludo could affect the party’s fortunes in next year’s governorship election In Anambra State, but insisted that he doesn’t bear any grudge against the governor.
“I am too big for what you are saying. Why should I have anything against Soludo? The only thing Soludo doesn’t like is that I am a man who has my mind,” Njoku added.
