In a recent development, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), has expressed a firm commitment to tackle the obstacles hindering the agency’s mission of establishing a robust and universally recognized national identification system.

Coker-Odusote emphasized this resolve despite facing a myriad of challenges, encompassing infrastructural limitations and logistical hurdles in the enrollment process for National Identity Numbers (NIN). Her assurance came through a statement issued by her technical adviser for media and communications, Ayodele Babalola, following a crucial meeting with the Senate Committee on National Identity and National Population.
