In Nigeria, much attention goes to the men in power, like governors such as Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Governor of Lagos State) but the women beside them also play a major role. The First Ladies are not just ceremonial figures, they advocate for important causes, uplift their communities, and shape culture, from social programs to fashion trends that resonate with many Nigerians.


From health campaigns and education programs to charity projects and social media engagement, these women are shaping conversations and driving change across the six geopolitical zones. Their work continues to touch lives and inspire people in meaningful ways. Here is a short list of these leading ladies, in no particular order.
