Uriel who was in the 2017 edition of BBNiaja in a post on her IG, explained she wore a glove to prevent her painted fingernails from getting stained

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star, Uriel Oputa better known as Uriel recently got more than what she bargained for from netizens after taking to social media to show her love for “Amala”, a Nigerian local delicacy.
In a post on her Instagram page which has now gone viral, Uriel shared a video of herself swallowing and enjoying the food.
However, rather than eat the meal with her hands, the 35-year-old who had fixed artificial nails on decided to do so with a nylon glove worn on her hand.
The BBNiaja star in the post also explained that she wore a glove to prevent her painted fingernails from getting stained.
Sharing the video on her official IG page, she wrote: “I cannot Shout oooo This healthy life thing dey sweet me, I’m wearing gloves to avoid staining my nails.”

After the video found its way online, Nigerians took to the comment section of the post to express their disapproval of Uriel’s action.
Many of those who commented on her post wondered why the TV reality star opted for a glove rather than a set of cutlery.
An Instagram user identified as iamprincekc wrote: “Instead of nylon gloves why not use a spoon? ♂️.”
Another netizen, mzjessyfab said: “Should have just use spoon nah, not that gloves abeg.”
