Nigerians home and abroad donate in naira, pound sterling, euros, dollars

Nigerians at home and in the diaspora have donated funds to the campaign of African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore, the youthful publisher of Sahara Reporters out to take the bull by the horns to reverse bad leadership by geriatrics.
Donors announced their contributions at the Sowore Campaign Global Mega Fundraising which held virtually on Sunday.
A Nigerian based in the United Kingdom, identified as Folyjesus, was the first donor with £100 followed by N200,000 given out by another man identified as Papzo.
Moyinoluwa, Oxley, and Ikeche Anyawu each donated N100,000. Chartered joined with N20,000. Olubunmi N50,000. Alex Adeniyi N10,000.
Durotimi Timis donated N25,000. Detoun N5,000. Favour €50. Adeola and Solomon did not disclose the amount they donated. But Kingmax Robin announced he gave out $1,000.
Sowore expressed gratitude to the supporters.
“I am so happy that while I was on the presidential townhall series on Arise TV, our compatriots were multitasking by watching and raising funds at the same time.
“Our goal is to put liberty on the ballot and we are determined to let the people own the race. I thank everyone who dropped their support for the genuine people-driven campaign leading to 2023,” he said.

Lady turns catching cruise into N1m donation
The latest donations came four days after a young woman, Loretta Oladayo, started a N1 million donation challenge to support the Sowore Campaign.
Oladapo announced the challenge on Twitter her handle and showed the receipt of her donation in a follow up tweet, according to reporting by The PUNCH.
“I’m donating N1m into Sowore’s presidential campaign; anyone wants to march this amount with me?”
“With Omoyele Sowore as President [in] 2023, there will be no motherless home,” she said.
“Patriotism for me is love for my country; [I] desperately want Nigeria to be a better place.
