President Muhammadu Buhari has assigned portfolios to the 43 ministers who were sworn in on Wednesday, August 21.
The full list of ministers inaugurated in Abuja Wednesday by Buhari include:
1 Uchechukwu Samson Ogah (Abia) – Minister of State Mines And Steel.
2. Muhammadu Bello (Adamawa) – Minister of FCT
3. God’swill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom) – Minister of Niger Delta
4. Dr Chris Ngige (Anambra ) – Minister of Labour and Environment
5. Sharon Ikeazu (Anambra) – Minister of State Environment
6. Adamu Adamu – (Bauchi) – Education
7. Amb Maryam Katagum – (Bauchi) – Industry, Trade and Investment, State
8. Timipre Silva – (Bayelsa) – Petroleum, State
9. Sen. George Akume – Benue, Special Duties
10. Mustapha Baba Shehuri – Borno, Agriculture, State
11. Godwin Jedi-Agba – Cross River, Power, State

This has sparked different reactions from Nigerians, especially on the social media.
Former social media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, faulted Buhari for making Festus Keyamo (SAN), the minister of state for Niger Delta Affairs and former Governor Godswill Akpabio the substantive minister.
“@fkeyamo is a former @officialEFCC PROSECUTOR. @SenatorAkpabio is a former EFCC SUSPECT. Akpabio is now Keyamo’s boss. A former PROSECUTOR will now be saying ‘yes sir’ to a former SUSPECT. You can just imagine the irony!,” Omokri said.
“As usual Baba didn’t disappoint by putting round pegs in square holes, and forcing square pegs to fit into round holes,” @RexEgbe1 said.
“#BuhariCabinet Has today commenced the race to be the first person to successfully syphon public funds,” @amb_wisdom said.
There have been varied opinions concerning Buhari’s separation of the ministry of power, works and Housing.
Former Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola remains the minister of Works and Housing. But Power was made a separate ministry with Engineer, Saleh Mamman as the minister.
“Fashola removed as Minister of Power was the right thing to do. Hopefully the next person has better results,” @IamTheIroko said.
“Babatunde Fashola (Lagos State) -Minister of Works and Housing. This is very good. As far as this appointment is concerned, I commend President Buhari for removing Fashola far away from ministry of power,” @kcnaija said.
“Now that Fashola has been removed from the duty of power minister, I just hope that the improved power supply won’t deteriorate,” @_starbiola said.
“Why replace a man with 4 Years’ experience with a man who does not understand the problem of the sector? Babatunde Fashola said funds were a major setback, now that you’ve injected N600 Billion into the sector, why replace the man who understands the problems?, “@theakinakinboye said.
President Buhari retained his position as the Minister of petroleum, while Timipre Sylva was made minister of state for petroleum.
Other ministers who retained their ministries include: Lai Mohammed (information and culture), Chris Ngige (labour), Mohammed Musa Bello (federal capital territory), Rotimi Amaechi (transportation), Adamu Adamu (Education) etc.
