Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ade Ebenezer Olufemi, popularly known as Olakira, has responded to Burna Boy’s claim.
The Afrobeat star, recently rated himself as the most valuable and highest-paid artist ever to sing in the continent of Africa.
The ‘like to party’ crooner made this known via his verified Twitter handle, on Saturday morning.
He wrote, “I said money doesn’t satisfy me and it’s my truth but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m the highest paid artist in the history of African music. Believe it or not.”

Reacting through a tweet later on the same day Olakira, contended that numbers don’t lie, hence there was no need for needless bragging.
According to him, it’s only an empty barrel who goes about boasting, as those who are real achievers let their numbers do the bragging.
“Needless bragging makes you an empty barrel, numbers don’t lie.” he tweeted.
Though Olakira did not mention Burna Boy in his tweet, the online community has linked both comments saying the upcoming artist’s statement was a reply to the Grammy Award winner.
Some also suggested Burma Boy’s claim means he is saying he is richer than the likes of Davido and fellow Grammy Award winner, Wizkid.
