A Nigerian masseuse, Joyce Ijeoma, has declared her intention to break the world record for the longest body massage on an individual.
The Guinness World Record (GWR) for the massage-a-thon was previously set in 2015 by Alastair Galpin in South Kalimantan, Indonesia in a time of 25 hours and 4 minutes.
However, Ijeoma, in a trending video shared on social media on Sunday, June 2, revealed her interest in embarking on a 72 hrs massage-a-thon at a location in the Lekki area of Lagos State, Nigeria.
In preparation for her record breaking streak, the Lagos-based lady claimed she has already done over 18 hours of massage.

Taking to her Instagram page, Ijeoma said: “A special invite to you all as I attempt to set a new record for longest massage on different individuals. Please come through for me.
“Your support and physical presence would be very much appreciated. Come with your family friends even your enemies,”
If indeed the masseuse is able to accomplish her desire, she will be following in the footsteps of Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, who recently broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
Hilda, 26, was on June 13 officially declared the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.
GWR while announcing the young chef as its latest record holder in the cooking category said: “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
