-

The Federal Government has announced Friday, June 15, and Monday, June 18 as public holidays, to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

The declaration was made by the minister of Interior, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd).

A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Dr M. B. Umar, quoted the minister as congratulating Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan.

Dambazau further urged the public to use the occasion to pray for a peaceful and united country.
