Human Rights Activist and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council for Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Dr. Tunji Abayomi, has lamented the level of theft in the Oil sector of the economy in the country saying it requires competent hands and authority to tackle the menace so as to make Nigeria great again.
Abayomi who expressed the concern in a statement yesterday over the rising crude oil theft in the country said Nigeria loses 14.9million barrels of oil worth N703.966billion according to Monthly Oil Market Report of OPEC.

According to Abayomi, substantial part of the loss is due to stealing, noting that since oil is the mainstay of National Economy, an intelligent and exposed leader that understands the intricacies and dynamics of the sector becomes vital for national economic recovery.
“Despite becoming an Auditor and Treasurer in the sector and thus of sound understanding of its intricacies Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu appeared to have separated himself and his business from the sector and he has not been tainted by oil greed it seems.
“Nigeria will expect quick effort to restore her honor and her oil wealth when Tinubu becomes President next year. This should be one of his highest priorities” he maintained
