Nigeria and Ghana shared the points in the first leg of their World Cup double-header qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The hosts had the first shot on target in the first half but it was dealt with well by Uzoh Uzoho in goal for Nigeria.
Ghana dominated the match at the beginning of the first half but it was the Super Eagles who finished the half the better side.
The Black Stars showed more urgency to get a goal in the second half as Nigeria continued to struggle for fluency with Victor Osimhen isolated and dropping deep.

Simon Moses had a great chance to score but his attempt inside the box was blocked by Wallcot in goal for Ghana.
Nigeria then made two substitutions as Brentfords’ Frank Onyeka and Watfords’ Emmanuel Dennis came in for Joe Aribo and Moses Simon.
A penalty was given against Idrissu Baba for handball in the Ghana area – but subsequently, the referee looked at the replay and decided that Idrissu was fouled in the build-up.
Neither of the two sides could breach each other’s defence before Moroccan referee, Jiyed Redouane brought the game to an end.
