“Your victory is a testimony of the confidence the people of the state repose on you and your deputy and a call to higher responsibility by the overwhelming victory recorded in 14 out of 18 local government areas of the state. The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate cannot afford to let down the people of the state,” he stated in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace.

He said that the outcome of the election were indications that the people’s hope and trust were built on the APC as a political party that would take the state out of the woods.

“Having been found you worthy as the most competent among the lot to take the Sunshine State from the doldrums of decay and infrastructural deficiency, I wish to urge you to go the extra mile to make the interest of the people central in all that you do.

“I am sure your victory at the polls was an indication that the hopes and aspirations of your people are better actualised under your watchful eyes. You owe them total and unaltered dedication and commitment.

“You cannot afford to make mistakes of your predecessor, work for the interest of all, not minding the differences in party affiliation to bring about progress in the social economic growth and infrastructural development of Ondo state”
