Jihadists and bandits are fighting for the control of a Niger community, says Shehi Sani, the former senator who represented Kaduna Central between 2015 and 2019.
According to Sani, the bandits who maim, kidnap and kill innocent Nigerians, always shiver at the sight of the Jihadists whose mission in those communities was to recruit fighters for their jihad.
Niger State has become terrorists haven with daily reports of killings and abduction making the headline.
Sani said: “One of the villagers in Niger State told me that his village is a battle ground between Bandits who kill,kidnap,raze down huts and extort ransom and armed Islamist terrorists group who preaches and forcefully recruit fighters.He said that even the former are scared of the latter.”
