Nicki Minaj accuses Nigerian Influencer Dr Penking of cyberbullying, copyright infringement; threatens legal action

Nicki Minaj questioned whether Dr Penking had obtained her permission to use the video, alleging that he used the footage to “harass” her.

​The Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty—better known as Nicki Minaj—has accused Nigerian medical doctor and health influencer Dr Penking of cyberbullying and copyright infringement, stating that she intends to sue him.

​Minaj was reacting to the controversial social media influencer’s decision to share an old, provocative video of her on X on Saturday, accompanied by the caption: “Nicki Minaj should understand that she has gotten old and retire.”

​Responding to the viral post, the 45-year-old artist queried whether Dr Penking had permission to use the video and alleged that he had utilised it to “harass” her.

​She went on to informed the medical practitioner that he had been added to an ongoing lawsuit she has instituted.

​Writing via her verified handle, Minaj stated: “Do you have permission to use this video that I filmed years ago to harass me on this or any platform? You’ve just been added to the suit.”
