NFF had prior to this consoled the 28-year-old Chippa United’s goalkeeper after losing his father while on international duty

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has once again consoled Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali following the death of his mother.
The football governing body sent its condolence message in a post shared on its official X handle.
The Chippa United goalkeeper on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 announced the passing of his mother and described 2025 as the worst year of his life.
He tweeted: “Rip mom, worst year of my life already,” while adding tears, heartbreak emoji on New Year’s Day.
Nwabali had earlier posted “A very very crazy world indeed,” before announcing the heartbreaking news of his mother’s death in the next post.

The unfortunate incident occurred a few months after the death of the shot stopper’s father.
His dad died in November 2024, while he was on international duty.
Speaking via its verified social media handle, NFF wrote, “Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother.
“Stay strong, Stanley. sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you.”
