The reality TV star alleged via her Instagram page, that an officer of the agency she identified as L.S. Shonibare assaulted her at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, and broke her nails in the process.

Khloe demanded a thorough investigation by the NDLEA on the matter and tasks the officers of the drug enforcement agency to stop “harassing citizens because of their uniforms”.

Reacting to her claims, the spokesman of the organisation issued a press statement on Sunday debunking her claim.

Babafemi said preliminary investigation revealed that the BBNaija star, Khloe, was on her way to South Africa and was about to board Air Peace when the incident occurred.

She, however, arrived late at the departure gate of the airport and became agitated she might miss her flight.

The spokesperson also revealed, their findings did not corroborate the claim of assault by Khloe, rather, it was the BBnaija star, who verbally assaulted the female officer.

He said: “At about 12:20 am on Sunday, Dec. 5, during an outward clearance of passengers going to South Africa by Air peace, a female passenger, Ms. Abiri Khloe was asked to submit her luggage for a search, which is a regular procedure.

“In the course of searching her luggage, which contains about 8 handbags, Khloe who obviously came late for the flight as shown on CCTV footage became agitated and hurled several unprintable insults at the female officer searching her luggage.

“This attitude is naturally a red flag that would raise suspicion and equally taken as an attempt to distract the officer.”

Babafemi said that Khloe was at the point of physically assaulting the officer when she acted by seizing her phone, he said the confiscation of her mobile phone did not deter her.

“At that point, the officer seized the phone from her to stop the distraction but that didn’t stop the passenger who brought out another phone to record their encounter,” he said.

The NDLEA spokesperson added that investigation on the matter is still ongoing, and that the agency will make further findings known to the general public as they become available
