President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Tijjani Umar has convey the federation congratulatory message to one of its board member Patrick Omorodion who was last week named the Special Adviser on Media to the Honourable Minister for Sports, Tamuno Danagogo.

The NBBF president acknowledges the appointment of the former NBBF Head of Media Committee and says the entire basketball family in Nigeria and the Diaspora congratulate Omorodion who remain a Board Member of the Nigeria Basketball governing body.
“Omorodion appoint as the Special Adviser on Media to the Honourable Minister for Sports is a welcome development not for Omorodion alone for the whole basketball family in Nigeria and the Diaspora.
“Since becoming board member of the NBBF Omorodion has made some landmark contribution to the advancement of the game and we wish him the very best in his new appointment as he assume duties as the SA Media to the Sports Minister, the NBBF Umar boss concluded.
Omorodion position as board member of the NBBF remain intact as he relinquished the head of the basketball federation media committee, the National Vice-President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has since resume in his duty post in Abuja.
